Doctors Express Urgent Care Opening 2nd Office In Danbury

DANBURY Conn. -- Doctors Express Urgent Care is opening its second location on the West Side of Danbury later this month with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 30, with the Danbury Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Mark Boughton will perform the ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m. 

Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served for all visitors.

The new state-of-the art, walk-in urgent care center is at 100 Mill Plain Road, offering medical care with impeccable customer service. The location is between Rosy Tomorrows and Holiday Inn Express.  

The new office be open to take care of patients starting Friday, May 1.  

The new office will service residents from Danbury, Ridgefield, Brewster, N.Y., Brookfield, Weston, Redding, Bethel and beyond. 

Doctors Express also has a location at 2 Main St. in Danbury. 

“As Connecticut’s largest locally owned urgent care center group, Doctors Express is independent and not part of a larger health network. We are not primary care but we have a broad referral network and strong relationships with the best primary care physicians, pediatricians and specialists in the area,“ said Tom Kelly, co-owner of Doctors Express Urgent Care. “Our only concern is for our patients. We strive to meet our goal of providing the highest quality, affordable care in under an hour.”

The new walk-in facility will have its own on-site laboratory, pharmacy and X-ray equipment enabling doctors to diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries as well as dispense medication to our patients.

Along with urgent care issues, Doctors Express Danbury also provides physicals and vaccinations for school, sports, immigration, DOT and pre-employment. They also have a strong Occupational Health program for employers providing care for Workers’ Compensation cases and employee-related testing, such as drug screening, physicals and hearing tests. The center will create about 20 new jobs on the West Side of Danbury.

The Doctors Express Danbury urgent care locations are both open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.   weekdays. No appointment is required.
