Hal Kurfehs, vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial, Scalzo Group, brokered the sale of 8.8 acres on Milestone Road from WCI Communities Rivington LLC to Development Asset Group (RMS Cos.).

RMS has recently developed Hotel Zero Degrees in Stamford and Norwalk.

The land had been recently approved by the City of Danbury for an upscale boutique hotel, with 111 rooms, a 100-seat restaurant, and a 120-seat banquet facility.

Danbury's fast growing West Side s home to many corporate offices, new luxury housing and hotels. It will be across the street from the new Regional Hospice and Home Care facility that was built on land that Kurfehs also brokered in late 2011.

“The new hotel will provide Danbury with the luxurious facilities that top executives expect and will bring the City to the next level of hospitality,'' Kurfehs said.

According to the brand’s website, Hotel Zero Degrees offers, “an ideal combination of old world hospitality and modern-day amenities.”
