Check Out A Taste Of Easton Saturday Afternoon

EASTON, Conn. – At "A Taste of Easton" Saturday afternoon, you can sample a veggie burger, hear live music by local groups, play games on the baseball diamond and your kids can get creative with crafts activities.

The event, scheduled for 3-6 p.m. at Toth Park with a rain date of Sunday, will raise money to help purchase a portable defibrillator for the Easton Senior Center.

Local farms will contribute food to the event with music provided by local groups, including The Wonderful Trio, guitarist and vocalist Dan Blaze and Mr. Dancy vs. The Oxidizer, a Joel Barlow High School student band.

The crafts activities will be led by the Easton Girl Scouts and Young at Art by Sue Striker.

Door prizes will be given away, including gift baskets from local businesses, an original farm print from an Easton artist, a Christmas tree from Maple Row farm and an orchid from J&L Orchids.

The event is sponsored by Easton Parks and Rec, The Easton Arts Council and other organizations.

There will be on-site parking at Toth at 373 Black Rock Turnpike, as well as shuttle bus parking at the Bradley Hubbell House, which is north on Route 58.
