Circle Of Friends Honors Students From Westport High School

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Circle of Friends will host an evening of recognition, dinner, and fundraiser at 5 p.m. Sunday at Longshore in Westport.

The gala will honor 11 years of friendship, honoring its more than 130 teen and adult volunteers.

In addition, Circle of Friends will present 15 high school seniors from Westport, Weston, Wilton and Norwalk high schools with Fellowship Awards for their combined 3,000 “friendship hours.” 

The dinner will feature a specially produced video presentation called “the power of love” together with a Chinese auction raffle and dinner journal to raise funds for the organization. Dignitaries will present the volunteers with their awards. 

Circle of Friends is an all-volunteer organization that reaches out to children, teens and adults with special needs and involves them in a full array of inclusive social programs, and weekly play dates. 

Concluding its 11th year, the teen volunteers and their adult supervisors currently are involved with more than 120 families in the area. To place an ad in the dinner journal, for information on corporate sponsorships, to make a reservation or for more information, visit www.circleoffriendsct.org.
