RIDGEFIELD, CONN. -- Folk-rock artist Brett Dennen makes his Ridgefield Playhouse debut Friday.
The performance is in support of his fifth studio record, "Smoke And Mirrors," due out in October on Atlantic Records.
Since the release of his self-titled record in 2004, Dennen has amassed an incredibly loyal fan base. From the stage to the screen, Dennen has been in various major films and television shows, including "Grey's Anatomy" and "Parenthood."
Dennen was named by Rolling Stone magazine as an “Artist to Watch” and, in 2008, Entertainment Weekly called him one of its eight "Guys on the Rise."
His special guest is singer/songwriter Dan Mills, who played country/rock guitar legend Carl Perkins in the Broadway hit "Million Dollar Quartet." Dennen’s show marks the first in a new Playhouse series where opening acts become the headliners by popular demand.
Tickets for the 8 p.m. show are $35. Call 203-438-5795 or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse or order online.
Fifty Coins (on Main Street) will offer 10 percent off the dinner bill the night of this show when tickets/stubs are presented.
The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street.
