Open to the public, this event will be held on Friday, June 27, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the McManus Room of the Westport Public Library.

This year, the state legislature considered many bills that could impact businesses and company bottom lines.

Nicole Cline, of the CBIA, said in a press release that attendees will be able to find out which bills passed and how new measures could affect their businesses and Connecticut’s national competitive ranking. Cline also said the meeting will allow attendees to learn what lawmakers would be prioritizing during next year’s session.

State Sen. Toni Boucher (R-26) is scheduled to attend along with state Reps. Gail Lavielle (R-143) and Jonathan Steinberg (D-136).

“This is a great opportunity to hear directly from your state representatives,” said Matthew Mandell, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce, in a press release. “It will be an informal discussion, so attendees will be able to participate.”

Coffee and light pastries will be provided.

Reservations are not required, but a head count is desired. Residents planning to attend are asked to contact Nicole Cline at 860-244-1929 or nicole.cline@cbia.com.
