Safe Stolen From Stamford Church

STAMFORD, Conn. — The commandment against stealing clearly meant nothing to whoever made off with a safe from Pentecostal Mission John Church.

The safe, described by Stamford Police as “easily portable,” was taken between Sunday night and Monday morning. It contained cash and checks donated to the Pacific Street church by parishioners, police said, thougfh the amount was not determined.

Police said there was no evidence at the scene of the crime and that they have no leads at this time.

? Derek Alfred Davis, 39, of Stamford was arrested Monday afternoon for second degree failure to appear.

? Louis Jose Garcia, 25, of Stamford was arrested for failing to respond to an infraction on Monday night.

? Candace Terenzio, 21, of Stamford was arrested Monday and charged with second degree breach of peace for threatening, failure to insure a private motor vehicle, failure to carry a registration/insurance card and illegal operation of a motor vehicle without inspection.

Daniel Tichy, 34, of Oxford, was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with two counts of second degree larceny from a person, third degree larceny, third degree forgery and 22 counts of criminal impersonation.
