Children's Special - Mark Rust: 7 to 8 p.m. Join Mark at Riverfront Green Park for a fun collection of songs on a variety of instruments and "Tunes for Spoons" workshop where everyone will learn how to hold and play the spoons. In case of bad weather, this show will be moved indoors to the Ford Administration Building, 1031 Elm St. Riverfront Green Park.
Peekskill Common Council Committee of the Whole meeting: 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the Paul Schwerman Conference Room and is open to the public. City Hall is at 840 Main St.

"Damsels In Distress" at The Paramount: 7:30 p.m. The film follows a trio of beautiful girls who set out to revolutionize life at a grungy East Coast college that seeks to help severely depressed students with a program of good hygiene and musical dance numbers. The girls become romantically entangled with a series of men who threaten their friendship and sanity. The film stars Greta Gerwig, Adam Brody and Analeigh Tipton and is rated PG-13. Open Rock Jam & Band Showcase at 12 Grapes: 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. The showcase is the place to be the third Thursday of every month. Come solo and jam with some of the best players in the Hudson Valley.
