We will explore nutrition basics as well as the latest research that examines 'food as medicine'. We know that no single food or food component can protect the body against disease by itself. But we will look at the strong evidence that does show that a diet filled with a variety of plant foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and beans helps lower risk for many illnesses.
