Letter: Wilton Food Bank Needs Your Help

WILTON, Conn. ? The following letter is from Al Alper, chairman of the Wilton Republican Town Committee. 

Wilton’s food pantry serves many of our neighbors, and does an outstanding job at it.  While the economy has increased the demands on its staff and supplies, the two storms, Irene and the Nor'easter, have substantially compounded the seasonal demand of the Wilton food pantry.

This weekend the Wilton Republicans will be holding a food drive to help support our local food pantry. We will collecting donations:

On Saturday, Nov. 19  we will be at:

Stop & Shop, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Comstock, noon-3 p.m.

On Sunday, Nov. 20  we will be at:

Stop & Shop, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Comstock, 1-3 p.m.

Donations of Cereal, Paper Goods, Laundry Detergent, Dishwashing Liquid and Detergent, Coffee and Tea, Condiments: mayonnaise, ketchup, etc., toothpaste and brushes, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, jams and jellies, hearty soups, pasta, etc.

PLEASE NOTE:  NO Canned Tuna, Salmon or Beans.

Join us and come by either Stop & Shop or Comstock this weekend to help support Wiltonians in need.
