Historical Society Of Easton Hosts Civil War Lecture On French Family

EASTON, Conn. -- The Historical Society of Easton will once again host Civil War lecturer Carolyn Ivanoff, who will share her knowledge about the Wilson French Family and their amazing story of the Civil War.

She will give her talk Sunday, Nov. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m at the Easton Public Library. 

Ivanoff will navigate through nearly 600 letters of correspondence between Captain Wilson French of Company G, 17th Connecticut Volunteers and, his wife, Martha Bouton French, in her talk.

In 2003, Carolyn was named Civil War Preservation Trust’s Teacher of the Year.
