Three performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, and at 5 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20.

There’s nothing like music to ring in the holidays and lift spirits. Music is the centerpiece of the hometown holiday show starring and directed by Gravitte, who has assembled a talented cast of kids and adults.

The Holiday Spectacular is Gravitte’s version of the Radio City extravaganza, featuring local and professional talent, so it’s a chance to see family and friends perform along side a Tony Award-winner whose voice and command of the stage make her a consummate entertainer.

There will be singing, dancing, merriment and, of course, Santa may make an appearance. Dancers from The Ridgefield Studio of Performing Arts, The Gray School of Irish Dance and young ladies from Grace Reddy’s Tang Yun Dance School will perform.

Gravitte’s son, song and dance man Sam Gravitte, will sing in this year’s show. The audience will be able to participate in a sing-along and may even get to share the stage with Gravitte for an awesome “Twelve Days of Christmas.” Gravitte and her shining cast, will sing holiday favorites --  “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” “Twelve Days of Christmas” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” plus some Broadway show tunes.

The evening will include some Broadway favorites and conclude with “White Christmas,” which pulls at the heartstrings every year.

The Associated Press said Gravitte is “One of the best voices on Broadway!”  She won a Tony for her performance in Jerome Robbin’s "Broadway." Her other Broadway credits include "Chicago" (Mama Morton), "They’re Playing Our Song" and "Les Misérables."
