Local Sprinters Excel in Final Scholastic Meet

WILTON, Conn. – Connecticut Elite sprinters Margo Foley of Wilton and Kelley Hussey of Westport ran in the final meets of their high school careers earlier this month in Newburgh, N.Y.

Hussey won the 100 in a time of 12.91, followed by Foley in 13.14. Foley later finished first in the 200 in 27.34, setting a personal record. The runners are coached by Kevin Foley, who runs the Wilton-based club.

Foley will run at Lynchburg College in Virginia. Hussey will head to Johns Hopkins in Maryland to continue her track career.

"We are proud of all that Kelley and Margo have accomplished with the CT Elite track and Field Club,'' coach Foley said. "We wish them the best in their first collegiate season and hope to see them back with us next summer."
