NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Joseph John Marinaro, Sr., a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died Nov. 4. He was 77.
Marinaro was born on June 24, 1934 in New York City to the late Nichalos and Bridget Marinaro. For many years, he worked as an elevator starter for Local 32BJ.
He is survived by his daughter Diane Marinaro and her companion Brian Odell, his brother Anthony Marinaro and his wife Rita, his longtime companion Catherine Jenter and several nieces and nephews. Marinaro was predeceased by his son Joseph John Marinaro, Jr.
Visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains. A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in White Plains, followed by interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery in Bronx, N.Y.
