What's on the Agenda in Rye

RYE, N.Y. - Things begin to pick up again at City Hall this week as the City Council holds its first meeting of the New Year. Numerous positions will be designated and appointed by the mayor and the rest of the council at the meeting.

Monday

-The Board of Architectural Review will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Mayor's conference room at Rye City Hall, 1051 Boston Post Rd. On the agenda is the discussion of the erection of new utility poles at various locations within the city, as well as the discussion of additions to homes and Highland Hall.

Tuesday

-The City's Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. in the City Council hearing room. All seven items slated on the agenda pertain to wetland permits.

-The Rye City School District will hold it's regularly scheduled weekly Board of Education meeting in the Rye Middle School multi-purpose room.

Wednesday

-The City Council will hold its first meeting of the New Year at 8 p.m. at City Hall. Rye Mayor Doug French will deliver his State of the City address and designate and appoint multiple positions, including the Board of Ethics and the 2012 Deputy Mayor.

Thursday

-Rye's Recreation Committee will meet at 7 p.m. at the Damiano Recreation Center.
