Eastchester Blue Devils PeeWee Football Team Wins Title

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Eastchester Blue Devils PeeWee football team coached by Bill Cade recently traveled to Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., and won the Empire State Classic AFL PeeWee championship game against the Tenth Ward Tigers from Rochester.

After a scoreless game in regulation time, Blue Devils' quarterback Derek Robertson connected with Liam Fairback for a 10-yard touchdown pass in the second overtime to put the team ahead, 6-0.

The Blue Devils' defense made a final stance with Nick LoParrino deflecting the Tigers' final pass of the game to preserve the win. The defense was solid throughout the game, led by Marc LoParrino, Jack Brien, Drew Walpole and Nysia Green.
