“We are humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of our entire federal delegation," Tetreau said. "Their support is very meaningful and reaffirms our hard work in making Fairfield a model community on low taxes, clean energy initiatives, an excellent education system, a revitalized senior center and a vibrant downtown with one of the lowest retention rates in Fairfield County.”

Himes, who went to Fairfield last week to show his support for Tetreau and Marmion, said, "Mike and Sheila are true public servants. They do their homework, collaborate with others and are always out in the community listening to Fairfielders. Their sound fiscal policy and dedication to helping Fairfield’s families, seniors, students, and the business community have resulted in a well-run and highly desired community to live and work.”

Blumenthal highlighted their support for Fairfield’s schools. “Mike Tetreau and Sheila Marmion are firmly focused on providing Fairfield’s children with the best possible education by giving them the foundation for a bright future,” Blumenthal said.

Tetreau, attended Holland Hill, Tomlinson and Roger Ludlowe High School. The athletic field at Warde is named for his father, Fern Tetreau. He was also honored on the Fairfield Warde High School's Wall of Fame, was a well-known Pop Warner coach and was a popular teacher at two of Fairfield’s schools.

Marion, a mom of three children who are currently attending Fairfield’s public schools, takes pride in helping to keep Fairfield a community that is known for high educational standards.

Both fully funded Fairfield’s education budget this past year, including supporting all school security measures to keep Fairfield’s children safe.

"A visit to Fairfield's downtown clearly demonstrates the commitment Mike Tetreau and Sheila Marmion have shown for economic development and growing small businesses in town," Murphy said. "Mike's lifelong commitment to Fairfield is unmatched, and I am proud to support his team."
