“Content knowledge is no longer enough to ensure student success,” according the district’s Executive Summary section of the 43-page document. “… there is a growing consensus regarding the skills that are needed for all; problem solving, communication/collaboration, critical thinking as well as resilience, perseverance, adaptability/flexibility and a sense of ethical/civic responsibility.”
According to the document, the 2016-2021 strategic plan outlines what needs to occur in a child’s education to enhance the opportunities for success. The Strategic Coherence Plan differs from other strategic planning in that it “was totally focused on just those elements of work that support student success for a mobile world.”
