Homecoming Week at Westlake High School

MOUNT PLEASANT, N.Y. – Monday kicked off homecoming week for students at Westlake High School. Each day this week, students are encouraged to participate in a theme that varies by day and class. The events all lead up to a pep rally and a group of athletic events held at the high school. Here is the information on all of the events going on this week.

            On Monday is comfy clothes day. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite pair of comfortable clothing that can vary from sweatpants to pajamas. On Tuesday, it is holiday day and students are asked to dress up in reference to their favorite holiday.  Wednesday is neon day and students should wear their brightest and most vibrant colored clothing. Thursday is spirit day. Seniors will have farmer day, juniors have Hawaiian day, sophomores have sunglass day, and freshman will have either nerd day or jersey day. Thursday evening will be hallway decorating night.

            On Friday, students are asked to participate in class color day by wearing clothing of their designated colors. Seniors are white, juniors are blue, sophomores are black and freshman are gray. Fall fest will take place during the day, and a pep rally will be held Friday night where the decorated floats of each class will be presented. The rally is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.

            The week leads up to a homecoming football game as the Westlake Wildcats will square off against Croton-Harmon High School at Westlake High. The game is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start.
