The Center for Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education (The Center) will present its third annual Women Empowering Women forum on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Stamford Marriott Hotel & Spa.

This year’s panel discussion, titled “Building Your Personal Brand,” will be moderated by Surran, an anchor for News 12 Connecticut.

Panelists are:

  • Mary Abbazia, managing director of  Impact Planning Group; author of "The Accidental Marketer."
  • Renie Anderson, senior vice president of sponsorships and partnership management for the NFL.
  • Natalie Grainger, director of the Chelsea Piers squash program, current U.S. women’s squash champion.
  • Judy Goss, founder and CEO of Over 40 Females.

The women will share their stories and insights on how they consciously think about and control their brand and the messages it sends.

“We all have a personal brand, but most of us do not consider it,” noted Lynn Tusa, co-chair of the forum. “We need to manage it strategically, consistently and effectively. The panel of diverse women we have assembled will be sharing their wisdom and perspective to an audience from across lower Fairfield County. These women come together for networking, inspiration and to support The Center’s vision of a world free from sexual violence.”

The evening also features an opportunity for guests to connect with the presenters, mentors and attendees before the panel discussion over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and, after, over coffee and dessert. New this year will be exhibitor tables focused on empowering women in our community and a free raffle.

To date, this year’s sponsors include Tudor Investment Corp., Shenkman and Serendipity.

Tickets are available now at $75 per person. Friends of The Center tickets are $1,000 (includes four tickets plus special recognition) and $500 (includes two tickets plus special recognition). Sponsorships are also available.

To register or for further information about becoming a sponsor, call 203-348-9346 or visit www.thecenter-ct.org.

All proceeds from Women Empowering Women will go to The Center’s crisis counseling, advocacy and education programs. The Center serves Westport, Wilton, Weston, Darien, Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk and New Canaan.
