The public is invited to attend an Ambassadors’ Roundtable series “after work” presentation by Dr. William Partlett, Research Scholar and Lecturer at Columbia University School of Law. Dr. Partlett will speak on Russia Under Putin. This event will take place at the Stamford Yacht Club on January 16, 2013.
In addition to his role at Columbia School of Law, Dr. William Partlett holds a joint position as a nonresident fellow in the Global Economy and Development Program, Foreign Policy Program, and Center for the United States and Europe at The Brookings Institution. Partlett holds a law degree from Stanford Law School as well as a master's in comparative politics and a doctorate in Soviet history from Oxford University. Dr. Partlett combines his background in comparative politics, history and law to study the role of democratic and economic development. He is currently working on a project exploring the dangers of constitutional transition in post-authoritarian political development.
The event is free for AR series members and $50 for the general public. The event will start at 5:30 P.M. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. The program will begin at 6:30 P.M. and conclude at 8 P.M. Reservations and advance payment are required. Space is limited.
