The show will start at 1 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. Throughout the day, 36 competition guard groups are scheduled to compete. They will be joined by 12 competition Winter Percussion groups all from across the Tri-State area.

The day will feature the talents of the Norwalk High School Scholastic AA Winter Guard, the Norwalk High School Scholastic Open Winter Guard, and Norwalk High School Indoor Winter Percussion Ensemble. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 for adults and $7 for children under 10 and seniors.

The ‘AA Guard’ will put on their show called ‘Covert Affairs’. The Winter Guard will be proud to show off their show entitled "Carpe Diem" – encouraging the audience to seize the moment, make every day count and not look back. They are made up of 20 motivated students.

The Indoor Percussion Ensemble will be pleased to show off their talents as they perform their show entitled ‘Glass’ celebrating musically and visually the various shapes and forms that glass can be found in with endless possibilities and varied properties. They are made up of 32 dedicated students.

All groups are viewed and scored by conference judges on a variety of points, including high technical achievement and consistent technique among the members. The percussion group is also judged on their musical performance.

Both the Winter Guard and Percussion groups will compete later this year in Dayton, Ohio, against groups from all across the nation.

Norwalk's AA Guard takes the floor at 2:52 p.m., and the Brien McMahon Guard goes on at 3 p.m. The Norwalk Open guard starts at 6:10 p.m. and the Norwalk Winter Percussion is on at 9:19 p.m. For the complete list of schools participating, visit the Musical Arts Conference website.
