Phil Vassar Brings Country Music Hits To Ridgefield Playhouse

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Country music hitmaker Phil Vassar will bring his feel-good style to the Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, Jan. 16. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Vassar’s piano-based brand of country music is infused with a feel-good, R&B groove.

His writing and singing talent represents an impressive 13 singles in the country Top 20, including three at No. 1 and three in the Top 5. He has written hits for Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson and Jo Dee Messina.

David Nail had a hit with Vassar’s “The Sound of a Million Dreams,” which Billboard named the No. 1 song in its Top 10 Country Songs of 2012.

His work has earned a number of awards from the Academy of Country Music, Billboard, MusicRow and CMA, along with winning ASCAP’s Songwriter of the Year twice.

Special guest is Bobby McGrath, a contemporary country singer-songwriter from New York City.

The Ancient Mariner on 451 Main St. in Ridgefield will pour a free glass of house wine with dinner the night of this show when tickets or stubs are presented.
