Ridgefield Theater Presents 'John' Live From London In HD

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – Live from the National Theater in London, the adult drama “John” will be presented at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday at 4 p.m.

“John” tells the stories of 50 men sharing their takes on love and sex. Artistic Director Lloyd Newson interviewed these men including John, who revealed a story about years of crime, drug use and struggling to survive.

It contains adult themes, strong language and nudity.

The Daily Telegraph called the work “bold, involving and utterly unique. Hannes Langolf's central performance is simply devastating in its impact and empathy.”

The performance is produced by the award-winning DV8 Physical Theatre, which has been behind 18 acclaimed dance-theater works and four films for television.

After the show, Bernard’s at 20 West Lane in Ridgefield is offering a special $45 prix-fixe menu or a free glass of wine with dinner.

The live series is underwritten by Jeanne Cook, Anita and Nicholas Donofrio, Liz and Steven Goldstone, Marilyn and Joe Kreitz, Joanne and John Patrick, Sabina and Walter Slavin and the Taylor Zemo Foundation.
