Bidding for the project's construction, which is set for the spring, began Oct. 28, according to a press release. A general contractor is scheduled to be selected in December.
"The Lewisboro Library plans to renovate and expand the existing library building in the spring of 2014," representatives said in the release. "The project will involve rearranging the existing floor plan and refurbishing the existing exterior and interior surfaces, HVAC and electric power. It will entail three distinct one-story additions, adding 1,700 square feet to the building. Site work will include installing a new underground storm water collection system and associated repaving, landscaping, refurbishing walkways, relocating overhead electric service, etc."
Those interested in bidding on the project can request a bid proposal directly from the architect, Donald MacDonald, by email at dmdarch@optonline.net, according to the release.
Questions about the project can be directed to library director Cindy Rubino at lewisborolibrary@gmail.com.
