Kelly Connors, Christine Cullen, Pamela Mitchell and Shawn Pitt have been working together as hairstylists for years, though not always under the same salon roof. Their paths have crossed and recrossed like so many strands of well-styled hair, working in some of the areas finest salons.
Weve all worked together at one time or another, says Connors. And after years of talking about how great it would be to open our own salon, we finally decided to go ahead and do it.
And done it they have. Their new space bears the moniker K.C. Salon & Company and is located at 1330 Post Rd. East in Westport. The interior is awash in flattering natural light and accented by sleek, contemporary décor. White leather chairs a comfortable but stylish perch for cut, color and beyond.
"Beyond" because K.C. is a full-service salon, offering a long list of treatments and services, among them: haircuts for women and men; single process color, highlights, low lights, Brazilian blowouts, organic hair relaxers, hair extensions, event styling and African-American styling.
If youre curious about the new salon in town, you can find K.C. Salon & Company stylists working Tuesday-Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Extended hours are available upon request.)
