Easton Arts Council Announces Open Call To Artists For Upcoming Show

EASTON, Conn. -- The Easton Arts Council’s Annual Art Show will take place from Jan. 15 to Feb. 22, and there is an open call for artists who want to display their work.

Entry forms may also be found at the following libraries: Easton, Fairfield, Trumbull, Bridgeport (Black Rock branch), Redding, and Monroe; as well as at the Bridgeport Arts & Cultural Center and the City Lights Gallery.

Entries are limited to two pieces per artist. All entries must be original paintings, sculptures or photography, not shown in any previous EAC shows.

All flat artwork must be framed, wired and ready for hanging. No small hooks or sawtooth hangers will be accepted.

The maximum width is 36-inches, including the frame. Artisans and sculptors must supply their own showcases or pedestals.

A commission of 20 percent will be retained by the EAC on any artwork sold at the show.

A free opening reception will be held on Jan. 18 from 7 to 10 p.m.
