The Redding Road tavern opened nearly a year ago this summer, and the local owners have decided to start off their second year with a series of events running from late July to early September.

Starting July 25, each Thursday the Redding Roadhouse will host a free outdoor movie on its patio, along with drink and meal specials. The first selection is “The Goonies,” which is scheduled to start about 8 p.m. Other planned features include “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Casablanca” and “Annie Hall.”

On alternating Saturday afternoons, the restaurant is holding “Saturday Cookouts on the Patio.” For a flat fee diners can enjoy a clambake or classic cookout options such as hot dogs and hamburgers on the restaurant patio.

Once per month through October, the restaurant will feature local farmers at “Farmhouse Dinners,” with a multi-course meal of locally-grown food and question-and-answer sessions with the farmers. The first dinner is scheduled for July 31.

The Roadhouse will continue to host live music acts on Friday and Saturday nights, featuring local and touring acts. Upcoming acts include Dylan Connor and the Epic Poets, Mustard Seed Magic and Tangled Vine.
