WESTCHESTER, N.Y. - Sunday is Father's Day and if you haven't purchased that perfect gift or card, there's still time to get it done.

According to the National Retail Federation, which tracks spending during this and other holiday periods right down to the penny, Father’s Day may be more popular this year than ever.

The NRF report says 77 percent of Americans said they plan to celebrate Father’s Day in 2013. The survey found the average person will spend $119.34 on Dad this year, up from $117.14 last year.

Overall spending is expected to reach $13.3 billion with about 2.5 million expected to be spent taking dad out for a special meal or to a sporting event.
