Stamford's Curtain Call To Cast For Role Of Jesus

STAMFORD, Conn. – Curtain Call is seeking singers for the role of Jesus in its production of the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar." The show will open on Thursday, April 3.

Auditions will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, and Sunday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m. each night in the Kweskin Theatre, where performances will also take place. All roles are open, nonunion, nonpay. Singers must be age 16 or older to audition. Those auditioning should prepare a brief song of 32 bars in the style of the show.

The production will be directed by Debra Lee Failla with music direction by Tony Bellomy and choreography by Kari Sweeney Efferen.

"Jesus Christ Superstar" will play on Friday and Saturday nights through May 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. There is no show on Easter Sunday.
