Teacher, Accountant Welcome First Baby Of New Year At Danbury Hospital

DANBURY, Conn. -- The first baby born in the New Year in Danbury arrived at 1:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, according to a report from the News Times.com

A Danbury couple welcomed their new baby boy at 1:01 a.m. on New Year's Day as the first baby born in the city in 2014.

Teacher Lindsey Lucchesi and accountant John Lucchesi welcomed son Leo Alexander, weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, according to the News Times report. 

John said he was looking for the baby to come in before the New Year to qualify for a deduction on the couple's income taxes, according to the report. Lindsey, a teacher at Danbury's Ellsworth Avenue School, said the delivery was a great experience, according to the report.
