Weston's Jose Feliciano Reflects On 44 Years of 'Feliz Navidad'

WESTON, Conn. -- Weston resident Jose Feliciano wrote "Feliz Navidad" for his Christmas album in 1970. Although the holiday song has always been a hit, it appears to be gaining steam at the ripe old age of 44, according to Billboard.com.

Feliciano's most popular song is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Latin Digital Songs List, where it earned top standing last year during the holiday season. It is also No. 4 on the Holiday Airplay chart, Billboard.com said.

Billboard says the song continues to hold up because it is for both Latinos and for English speakers who celebrate the Christmas holidays.
