Westport Playhouse Patron Elisabeth Morten Receives Honor

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Actor James Naughton and Westport arts patron Elisabeth Morten were honored with legislative citations from state Sen. Bob Duff, D-Norwalk/Darien, at the FCBuzz Gypsy Jazz Night benefit in Fairfield.

Over 175 people attended the benefit, sponsored by the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, which took place at co-chair Liz Fox's estate on Sasco Hill Road recently.

Two-time Tony Award winner Naughton was honored for his ongoing work with the Artistic Advisory Council of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County.

“The Cultural Alliance keeps me on my toes about all of the arts events in Fairfield County. Can't get enough of them!” he said during his speech.

Morten was honored for her past presidency with the Cultural Alliance and continuing support of the Westport County Playhouse, highlighting the importance of creativity and arts advocacy during her speech.

The event featured an auction, a bohemian buffet and music from four-piece band Caravan of Thieves.
