Expert Plans Talk On 'Great Patriotic War' For Westport, Weston Group

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Mark Albertson, a teacher with the Lifetime Learners Institute at Norwalk Community College, will be the featured speaker at the next meeting of the Y’s Men of Westport/Weston.

The next meeting will be held March 26 at the Unitarian Church in Westport at 10 Lyons Plains Road.

Albertson will talk on "The Great Patriotic War: The Titanic Clash Between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union," in which tens of millions died and many of the greatest battles of World War II took place.

Coffee and doughnuts start at 9:45 a.m. Albertson’s talk bgins at 10:30 a.m.

Albertson is an historical research editor for Army Aviation magazine, the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America, and a longtime member of the United States Naval Institute. He is an enthusiastic speaker on a variety of topics to many groups in Fairfield County. 

The Y's Men of Westport/Weston is an organization of semi-retired and retired men with a continued interest in activity, fellowship, learning and community service.
