"I was a singing drummer in my Norwalk high school band, The Front. We thought we were R.E.M. meets The Replacements, said Pacifico. “When it came time to go to college, I couldn't really bring my drum kit to my dorm room, so I got an acoustic guitar for high school graduation. I learned some basic chords...and then took a stab at writing my own tunes."
The Connecticut-based singer-songwriter's introspective style has drawn comparisons to the likes of Matthew Sweet, Paul Simon and James Taylor. On his latest EP "Overlooking the Obvious," Pacifico collaborated with Stephen Kellogg, Garrison Starr and guest musicians from The Alternate Routes.
Coley Homestead is at 104 Weston Road. Reservations are not required. Admission is free for members and $10 per non-member family. Attendees can bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and beverage to the concert.
