Hollywood's TCL Chinese Theater To Honor Weston's Christopher Plummer

WESTON, Conn. – One of the most famous theaters in Hollywood will soon honor actor Christopher Plummer of Weston with a hand and footprint ceremony, people.com reported.

Plummer, 85, will be honored at the TCL Chinese Theater on March 27, according to people.com.

Plummer is best known for his role as Capt. Georg Von Trapp in the 1965 film "The Sound of Music," co-starring with Julie Andrews. The film celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. 

With his win at the age of 82 in 2012 for his role in "Beginners," Plummer is the oldest actor and person ever to win an Academy Award.
