EASTON, Conn. -- Marlane Turbidy, music director of the Notre Dame parish in Easton, has written a contemporary Lenten composition called "Jesus Walk to Calvary."
The original musical piece offers listeners and viewers a chance to journey through the Stations of the Cross as part of their Lenten reflection and prayers, according to Tubridy, who lives in Weston. Many Roman Catholics pray the Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent.
Tubridy, who has degrees from Kent State, Julliard and New York University and has studied at LaScala in Milan, Italy, initially concentrated on opera. You can view and hear more of her pieces at her website.
