Air Quality Alert Issued For Westport Due To Ozone

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- An air quality alert is in effect from 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday throughout all of Fairfield County, according to the National Weather Service.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has issued an air quality day for Tuesday because ozone within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. 

The ozone forecast is for moderate to unhealthy for sensitive groups, according to the state.
