No injuries were reported, and the driver was not issued a ticket or arrested, the News-Times said.

"As some know, we had a car pay us a visit at the cheese shop. Thank goodness no one was injured. We will be repairing the store, cleaning up and restocking all of the damaged product and plan to reopen for Saturday," the owners said on the shop's Facebook page.

"We will be taking orders for the weekend on our website or you can call us and leave us a message at the store 203-438-5757. Thank you all for your support during this unplanned renovation."

The owners later posted: "Thank you all for your support and kind words. ... We will be open soon! Promise."

The shop’s Twitter account said: “Thankful no one was hurt. We will be repairing and reopening as soon as possible. #Ridgefieldstrong.”
