The work at Bedford Square will be done early to avoid traffic congestion and to minimize neighborhood disruption, the town said.

Beginning at 4 a.m. Thursday, Church Lane from its intersection at Elm Street to Post Road East will be closed.

General vehicular traffic will be detoured via Elm Street.

Construction vehicles will be set up in the town-owned Elm Street Parking Lot commencing at 6:30 a.m. That parking lot will be unavailable to the public while the work is done.

Motorists are advised to use the Baldwin Parking Lot instead.

Police will be directing vehicular traffic in the area while the work is done.

Questions on the project may be directed to Director of Public Works Steve Edwards at 203-341-1120.
