Cuomo Points To Speed, Human Error As Causes Of Derailment Crash

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo told NBC's Today Show that he believes investigation of the Metro-North train derailment in the Bronx will reveal the incident was the result of train speed and human error.

The train derailment occurred at approximately 7:22 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1. The incident killed four people and injured 63 others, according to the Today Show. 

Cuomo said investigators have recovered the black box from the train and believe it will help them determine if there was a mechanical problem with the train, the Today Show said.
