? Henry Wagmeister, a 57-year-old Weston resident, was killed early Friday when he was hit by a tractor-trailer while changing a flat tire on another tractor-trailer on I-95 in Greenwich, State Police said. 

? Weston held a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday to decide whether the town should purchase a Norfield Road house for future town use. The meeting approved the purchase, 44-34, but the bank has rejected the town’s offer of $610,000, according to the town website.

? Redding’s Paul and Cormac Cummiskey continued their training for the Stamford KIC It Triathlon this week. The two will attempt to finish the race together Sunday.

? Weston Police have asked for help with a string of vandalism cases across town over the last few weeks. At least 15 cases of damage to mailboxes, light fixtures and town property have been reported since mid-May.

? Fairfield County’s real estate market is looking up, as Realtors are reporting a rise in home sales prices this year.

? In national news, the Supreme Court ruled that the Defense of Marriage Act is unconstitutional, meaning same-sex couples married in Connecticut will now be entitled to federal benefits. Gov. Dannel Malloy showed his support by flying the pride flag over the governor’s residence the day the decision was announced.
