Westport Will See Steady Rain Then Rapidly Falling Temps

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Rainy conditions will persist in Fairfield County throughout Monday before much colder temperatures take hold on the region for the rest of the week, according to the National Weather Service. 

Rain will move out of the area on Monday night, but temperatures will be much colder this week.

Rain will persist through Monday and into the evening hours. High temperatures will be in the mid-50s, but are expected to drop into the low 30s once the sun goes down. Chance of rain is near 100 percent.

Tuesday will be sunny, but much colder with blustery winds. High temperatures will be in the low-to-mid 30s with wind gusts over 30 mph. 

Wednesday will be more of the same with sunny skies and a high temperature around 33.

Temperatures rebound slightly on Thursday with a high around 44.
