Keurig's Recall Includes Coffee Makers Purchased In Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Keurig Green Mountain announced a recall of 6.6 million coffee and hot beverage brewing machines purchased in Fairfield County and throughout the United States due to the risk of burning users with overheated liquids, according to NBC.

The company said it received about 200 reports of hot water spraying outside the brewer. Ninety of those reports involved burn injuries, NBC reported. 

The model recalled is the Mini Plus Brewing System with the model number K10. It was sold both online and in stores throughout the U.S. and Canada starting in 2009, NBC said.
