NASA Rocket Launch May Be Visible In Westport

original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents may have the opportunity to view the liftoff of a NASA Orbital Sciences Antares rocket and Cygnus spacecraft in their own backyard at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, according a report by Space.com. 

The launch is the first night launch of the two-stage Antares rocket, and the flight could be visible from Massachusetts to South Carolina, according to the report. The liftoff will be from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Va. 

The rocket will carry about 5,050 pounds of cargo, the heaviest load delivered by a Cygnus to the International Space Station, according to NASA.gov.
