Redding's Rock 'N Roots Music Festival Offers One More Chance For Fireworks

REDDING, Conn. — The weather looked uncooperative on Saturday, so the Redding Historical Society decided to move its Independence Day event to Sunday, July 5.

The event offers one more chance to join in a patriotic celebration and enjoy fireworks in Fairfield County.  It runs from 3 to 9:45 p.m. at the Redding Historical Society at 43 Lonetown Road (Route 107). 

The Redding Rock 'N Roots Music Festival will feature the Mary & Jabez Burr Fireworks Show. Musical guests will include Andy Powell, The Bobby Paltauf Band, Yippee Coyote, Tara Engler, and more. 

The music starts at 3 p.m, with kids crafts and games set for 3:30. 

On-site vendors will sell food, or bring your own picnic blanket and a lawn chair. 

Special guests include the Germantown Fife and Drum Corps. 

The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free to kids 12 and under.

All proceeds to benefit the Redding Historical Society. For more information call 203-788-1805.
