Rollover Accident Cleared From Southbound I-95 In Westport

6:30 p.m. update: WESTPORT, Conn. -- The rollover crash that was blocking the right lane of southbound I-95 in Westport has been cleared, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.

A rollover was reported at about 5:50 p.m. Thursday on I-95 South in Westport.

Traffic delays were still reported in the area of Exit 18 to 19, the DOT said.

Original story: WESTPORT, Conn. -- The right lane of southbound Interstate 95 is blocked late Thursday afternoon because of an overturned motor vehicle, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.

The accident was reported at about 5:49 p.m. Thursday, DOT said.

The crash is between Exit 19 for the Sherwood Island Connector and Exit 18 for Route 33/136.

Traffic congestion was reported for 2.5 miles between Exits 19 and 17 due to the accident, DOT said.
