Stormy Start To Workweek In Westport; Flooding Possible

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Heavy rain and wind will make for a soggy start to the workweek in Fairfield County and could cause minor flooding in coastal areas.

Showers will linger for most of the day on Monday, with a high of 55 degrees. The chance of rain is 100 percent with wind gusts up to 30 mph. 

The showers will continue into the night with the possibility of thunderstorms. 

The sun will return Tuesday afternoon with a high about 67 degrees. 

Rain will return on Wednesday with a high in the low 60s. The chance of rain is around 30 percent. 

Partly to mostly sunny skies will prevail through the rest of the week and into the weekend.
