Thunderstorms Will Accompany Heat, Humidity In Westport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Thunderstorms and showers are expected to hit a hot and humid Fairfield County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the showers could produce heavy rain as temperatures are expected to stick at about 85 degrees.

It will be more of the same Wednesday night, with temperatures dropping to around 70.

There will be a chance for more thunderstorms Thursday after 2 p.m., and some could produce heavy rains, the weather service said. It will be cloudy with a high near 76 degrees.
