WESTON, Conn. - The blizzard sent many people home early Friday and canceled a number of events in the Weston area. Here is what's canceled or closed in town as of 12:45 p.m.:

• Weston Town Hall closed Friday at noon.
• The Weston Library closed at noon Friday.
• All Weston, Easton, Redding and Region 9 public schools are closed for Friday.
• Easton Town Hall is closed Friday
• Redding Town offices are closed Friday
• The Mark Twain Library is closed
